‘Stop the clock’ - Directive delaying entry in to application of CSRD and CSDDD adopted

Today the EU adopted a ‘stop the ‘clock’ Directive which delays the entry into application of rules on corporate sustainability obligations. This is part of a broader ‘simplification’ proposal. For the CSDDD, Member States now have an extra 12 months to implement the rules - deadline to notify and transpose is now the 26 July 2027.
