After starting my career as a Barrister in the UK, I crossed the channel and became a Member of the European Commission Legal Service. I’ve spent the past 13 years advising and litigating across the regulatory spectrum from competition law, to external relations and trade and investment. I currently coordinate ISDS disputes and represent the EU in WTO Dispute Settlement and other international arbitrations.

I'm Adjunct Professor at the Brussels School of Governance, VUB, teaching the law of international organisations and international trade law and a member of the teaching faculty at the Université de Lille. I am also an Assistant Editor of the Thompson Reuters Encyclopedia of Environmental Law (International environmental law) and I deliver seminars on different aspects of EU law with a particular focus on sustainability regulation and the interface with international trade and public international law.
