EU adopts regulation delaying entry in to application of the EUDR

With time running short before the entry into application of the EUDR, the EU has adopted a Regulation deferring that date by 12 months. Operators now have until 31 December 2025 to ensure they are prepared.

The Commission submitted its proposal on postponing the application date of the deforestation regulation in response to concerns raised by member states, third countries, traders and operators that they might not fully comply with the rules by 31 December 2024.
